We have some rather grim news if you’re a fan of overclocking your graphics card — MSI Afterburner is in trouble.
According to the author of MSI Afterburner himself, the program is not receiving any funding and may be unable to continue. However, there is hope — MSI wants to keep the project alive.
MSI Afterburner is a popular program used to adjust settings on a graphics card. This includes making the card run faster (overclocking) and using less power (undervolting). Even though it can be difficult to learn, it is widely used and easy to access. Other companies also have similar programs, but MSI Afterburner is the most popular choice. However, the creator of the program, Alexey Nikolaychuk, has said that the program may be coming to an end due to issues related to the war in Ukraine and the resulting sanctions on Russia, where he is based. Despite this, MSI still recommends the use of MSI Afterburner for its new graphics cards.
