PlayStation is looking into the ps5 upgrade issue

Players of Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot on PS4 and Xbox One are experiencing difficulties upgrading to the newly released PS5 and Xbox Series X|S versions of the game. Despite being able to upgrade for free, many users have encountered technical issues, resulting in frustration and delays for the upgrade process. PlayStation Support has confirmed that they are looking into the issue and escalating it for review, as more reports are being made.

Bandai Namco, the game's developer, has not yet officially responded to the issue, but they have confirmed an issue that completely blocks Xbox Series X|S users from upgrading and playing the game. As a result, free upgrades and Season Pass 2 content for Xbox has been delayed.

On the other hand, some players have been able to upgrade their PS4 copy and play the newest Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot content without issue. These technical issues have resulted in many PS4 and Xbox One owners being unable to play the game on their new PS5 and Xbox Series X|S. It is important for the developers to communicate transparently with the community when facing technical problems of this magnitude.
